Step 1: It begins with the design!
At Woodland Construction, we believe a great pavilion starts with a clear plan. Once you share the dimensions and vision for your pavilion, our skilled draftsman creates a detailed 3D drawing of your project. These drawings allow you to see exactly what your finished pavilion will look like, every idea carefully represented.
We use these visuals to guide the build, ensure accuracy, and give you confidence in your project before construction even begins. With our design process, there are no surprises, only a clear path from your vision to a beautifully built timber pavilion.
Step 2: Wood Selection
At Woodland Construction, the quality of your pavilion starts with the wood we choose. We carefully select each material to balance beauty, durability, and performance. By offering these premium options, we ensure your pavilion not only looks stunning but stands the test of time.
Cypress
Cypress – Naturally resistant to decay and insects, with a warm, rich color that ages beautifully and finishes very well. A great choice for beauty and legacy!
Eastern Red Cedar
Eastern Red Cedar – Lightweight, strong, and aromatic, offering natural resistance to rot and a classic timber look.
Pressure Treated Pine
Pressure-Treated Pine – Economical, durable, and designed to withstand the elements, perfect for long-lasting structural components.
Pine Tongue & Groove Decking
Our timber pavilions feature high-quality 2x8 tongue and groove decking, designed for both beauty and durability. One side of each board features a subtle V-groove, giving your deck a clean, finished appearance while highlighting the natural grain of the wood.
The tongue and groove system ensures a tight, secure fit between boards, reducing gaps and creating a smooth, even surface. The result is a deck that not only looks stunning but is built to last for years of outdoor enjoyment.
Once your design is finalized, our team brings it to life in the shop. Using your approved drawings, we hand-cut and assemble each truss with precision and care.
Every component is carefully measured, shaped, and prepared to ensure a perfect fit on site.
If a specific finish is chosen, it’s professionally sprayed to give a smooth, even coat that highlights the natural beauty of the wood and adds lasting protection.

Step 4: Shipped Right To Your Door!
When your pavilion is complete, we take the same care in preparing it for delivery as we do in building it. Each piece is packed by hand to ready for its final assembly when it reaches you.
We make sure everything is secure and protected for the trip whether it’s being picked up here at our shop or headed your way on a trailer, it’s always a proud moment seeing a finished kit ready to leave, knowing it’s going to become part of someone’s home or a community gathering place.
